Este ejercicio de dirección creativa provoca el encuentro más incómodo de la serie: dos casas que viven en cosmologías opuestas, Hermès, custodio de la lentitud y la mano, y Meta, arquitecta de la conexión instantánea y la mediación algorítmica de la experiencia. La colaboración no resuelve la tensión, la inscribe en el objeto. Una montura en cuero vegetal Hermès con sensores flexibles imperceptibles, lentes Meta que visualizan ritmo cardíaco, tensión muscular y estado emocional del caballo en tiempo real, una app que interpreta la comunicación no verbal entre jinete y montura, una IA que te guía sutilmente para mejorar el equilibrio. La provocación no es tecnológica, es ontológica: Augmented Instinct. ¿Es esto la extensión del instinto humano o su sustitución? ¿La tecnología nos enseña a sentir mejor, o nos enseña a confiar menos en lo que ya sentíamos? Hermès × Meta no propone una respuesta. Propone que el verdadero lujo del siglo XXI ya no será la artesanía pura ni la tecnología pura, sino la tensión consciente entre ambas. This creative direction exercise provokes the most uncomfortable encounter of the series: two houses living in opposite cosmologies, Hermès, custodian of slowness and the hand, and Meta, architect of instant connection and algorithmic mediation of experience. The collaboration doesn't resolve the tension, it inscribes it into the object. A saddle in Hermès vegetal leather with imperceptible flexible sensors, Meta lenses that visualize heart rate, muscular tension, and the horse's emotional state in real time, an app that interprets the non verbal communication between rider and mount, an AI that subtly guides you toward better balance. The provocation is not technological, it is ontological: Augmented Instinct. Is this the extension of human instinct or its replacement? Does technology teach us to feel better, or does it teach us to trust less what we already felt? Hermès × Meta proposes no answer. It proposes that the true luxury of the twenty first century will no longer be pure craft nor pure technology, but the conscious tension between the two. The rider who looks at the data and then closes their eyes to feel. The saddle that records, but the body that decides. The question remains alive, embroidered into the leather.
